The great plane adventure...

The 6 week rash...
I’ll spare everyone a picture b/c it’s definitely not her cutest look but Waves has been experiencing what I’ve read online to be ‘the 6 week rash’…red splotchiness on her face and neck areas that only flare up when she feeds.
Any other moms experience this? Our pediatrician said you can’t pinpoint exactly what irritates their skin b/c it’s soooo...

A Mom update...
I know that I’ve been pretty good about updating on Waverly’s magnificent progress so I thought I’d do a quick update on how Hub & I are doing as ‘new’ parents @ around 2 months.

Because You LOOKED pregnant...
In the car after dinner, the day Hub went to the Dentist...
Hub: So you knew our dentist was pregnant right?
Me: Yeah, I went right before Waverly was born.
Hub: Yeah, well you can barely tell she's pregnant. She's tiny! I didn't want to say anything b/c I wasn't sure so I let her bring it up.
Me: That's always the safest thing to do.
Hub: At first I thought maybe she just had some disease.
Me: (pause) What kind of disease would that be?
Hub: I dunno, some type of large stomach disease. I mean it just wasn't proportional to her body.
Me: Well, I don't think she's got the malnourished-African-baby-stomach-disease
Hub: But you know what I mean...when you were pregnant you could tell. I mean you KNEW you were pregant.

Our 2 Month date w/ Dr. Linderman...

Waverly rocked out her check-up. Here’s the stats:

Mom Advice for Waverly #39
#39: Moisturize until the day you die. Body Creams, suncreens, lotions…these are all MUSTS and although I may not have always used the sunscreen like I should have - do as I say not as I didn’t do on this one.
I want your baby soft skin to stay that way as long as humanly possible…b/c I love it so much…

I know she’s young but I feel like Mom’s give the best advice & I want her to get all the best advice in life. Got to start now if I’m going to get it all in her little head!

Too Old to Swaddle?
Every night now when I put Waverly to bed I still swaddle her. I’ve tried putting her to bed without it and she usually distracts herself with her hands & fingers…even when I know she’s exhausted and can’t keep her eyes open anymore.

I totally feel you on that original bathtub! We had the same one but it was so hard to bathe Waverly in it! That incline sling gets slippery and the babies slide right off.
