Lately in Waverly’s world // A fun weekend with Mimi & PawPaw. Cousin Ava’s birthday party. Cove teaching Waverly how to drive a Hot Wheels for the first time. The last swim of the fading summer. Being my constant Target buddy. Sneaking into Mom & Dad’s bed on the cold mornings for warm snuggles.
Right now is my favorite age by far. It’s like getting a glimpse into her future personality and how she’s going to be as a little lady. She has a flare for the dramatic and is soft hearted. She loves to sing and wants to do everything herself. I feel like once the potty training is over it will be official: big kid status.
I love you to the moon and back Waves…-Mommy
Lately.
Lately I’ve been a horrid blogger. I used to relish the chance to document our latest and greatest moments but lately I’m grateful for any iPhone pics that may have been taken to capture said moments.
A few shots in recent time and a silent vow to myself to do better. RW
Newport Beach, I love you.

Our family vacation to Newport Beach a week ago was amazing and sadly I’m already forgetting what the ocean waves sounded like. This is just a smattering of Instagrams and iPhone pics that were snapped along the way.

Being 2 means being curious. Loving Bubble Guppies. A lot.
Loving to cuddle and to read books. Still loves drinking milk warm and now only wants water with a little ‘jooce’ mixed in. Loves her buddy Cove.
Loves putting on shoes (mine and yours). Almost ready for potty training but not quite yet. No more pacis. Knowing how to count to 10 and singing your ABC’s. Still scared of swings and moving objects.
Still love water, seeing it and touching it. Swimming in it- we’re working on. Hates bed time but loves waking up in the morning. Still loves cheese but I can barely get you to eat a blueberry these days. Did I mention you used to eat blueberries by the pound?
Loves to ‘cheese’ for the camera and climb stairs all by yourself. Loves to play on any electric device handy. Loves puzzles. Loves her Daddy and her puppy.
More beautiful today than the day before…
I love you muffins. To the moon and back again…Mommy

THE State Fair of Texas

(Mr. Wilson with a sleeping Wavers in front of the Fair’s signature BIX TEX)
Last night we ventured down to the good ole’ Texas State Fair…my FIRST time ever at the Texas State Fair. (Shock & Awe, I know). I’ve been a Texan my entire life but had never been!
The air was full of the sights, sounds, and definitely the smells of the largest State fair in the US. I consumed more fried foods than should ever be allowed…but survived to share the tale nonetheless.

(This year’s newest fair fried delicacy - fried frito pie!)
With baby in toe with didn’t get to indulge in any of the stomach twisting rides this go around but seeing the herds of kids running around, cotton candy in hand, from ride-to-ride made us really excited for the day when Waverly is big enough to really enjoy the fair.

(Fair go-ers stuffing their faces while W chews on something a little less greasy…)
The reason I’m not pictured is b/c I was probably too busy eating to pose. Maybe next time I’ll document more and chow down less…
The weather was beautiful 80 degrees and it was a fairly less crowded Sunday night. Strollers dominated the fair streets and I would definitely recommend it to any parents with babies that want to have a place to stroll around and get out of the house.
Sadly W won’t remember her first time at the Texas State Fair…but we’re hoping to make it a yearly tradition she’ll remember forever.

On this day 4 years ago Oliver Wood-Wilson was born bringing much joy, cuddles, & mischief into this world.
Happy Birthday Ollie. You make our family truly a Party of 4.

For all those out there who are curious to know what a woman’s stomach looks like a week after they deliver an 8 lb. baby - here you go!
At the time of Waverly’s birth I had weighted 155 lbs (a total gain of 33 pounds)…1 week after Waverly’s delivery I weighed in at 138 pounds which I thought was not too shabby. I feel like one of those Biggest Losers contest who pulls a double digit loss in one week! I’m in no huge rush to lose the rest of the baby weight…
Right now my focus is on enjoying plenty of goodies in order to keep my breast milk supply up*

Craving of the moment…PIZZA
And I’m no discrimminator against pies in the midst of a craving. I’ve done Coal Vines {the best}…food court pizza, Totino’s frozen pizza, Studio Movie Grill pizza…just about any pie I can get my hands on.
All it takes is one commercial to set it off too…and it’s over. Decided. Pizza is whats for dinner. Gummy Bear probably thinks he/she is being born to a full blood Italian family…
